Orthodontics
The Center for Advanced Biological Orthodontics, or Cabodent, is an interactive two-year educational program for those in the dental profession that integrate biologic principles of occlusion with orthodontics. Cabodent can also be described as a group of Bioesthetic dentists who ensure proper jaw joint stabilization after orthodontic treatment. This means that future bite related problems can be minimized while treating orthodontic problems today. Some of these bite related problems include: worn, chipped or broken teeth, jaw and neck pain, headaches, etc. These problems become more likely without proper jaw joint stabilization.
Because most orthodontists take models of the teeth without regard to the jaw joint, they are completing only part of treatment. They may do wonders with straightening teeth, but in most cases have not properly stabilized the jaw joint. Without stabilizing the jaw joint, there is a much greater probability that problems will arise once orthodontics is completed. These problems may become evident immediately or years later.
Why would you endure braces then later have to correct bite related problems that could have been avoided at the time of the orthodontic treatment? Wouldn’t you rather prevent the bite related problems?
If you are experiencing any of these problems or are about to start orthodontic treatment contact Dr. Fletcher to see if Cabodent is right for you.
