Meet the Dental Team
Gayle Fletcher, DDS
Dr. Fletcher spent most of his childhood years overseas where his father was stationed during a career in the U.S. Air Force. Returning to San Antonio, Texas, he graduated from Oliver Wendell Holmes High School. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and spent eight years serving his country. He spent three years aboard a nuclear powered submarine and was chosen to teach nuclear power plant operations.
Upon his departure from the Navy, Dr. Fletcher attended the University of Texas Health Science Center – San Antonio, graduating with his dental degree in 1991. He was then selected to attend an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency. Dr. Fletcher then received his commission as an officer in the U.S. Army, spending the next three years stationed in Europe. Doctor Fletcher has been a Montgomery County resident since 1995. He is presently a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army reserves.
Dr. Fletcher is an avid student, continually striving for excellence through advanced dental education. He is a current member of the Academy of Bioesthetic Dentistry, Texas OBI Study Club, American Orthodontic Society, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and the Brazos Valley Dental Society. He is a select member of fewer than 400 doctors world-wide to complete a three-year program in Occlusion (the bite) taught by the Foundation for Bioesthetic Dentistry. He is currently continuing his advanced education by attending a two-year program in biologic orthodontics (CABODENT). This orthodontic process focuses on maintaining joint health while aligning the teeth and finishing the cases to the principles of Bioesthetic dentistry.
Dr. Fletcher is married. His wife, Angela, is his office manager. His daughter is a registered nurse by profession and the new mother of Dr. Fletcher’s first grandchild. His son is proudly serving our country as a Corpsman in the U.S. Navy.
Dr. Fletcher’s outside interests include his pursuit of the game of golf, handball, and civic and charitable activities.
Kristi Ayraud
Kristi, our hygienist, has over 11 years of experience in dentistry. She graduated from Kingwood Dental Hygiene School in 2006. She enjoys getting to know her patients and strives to provide quality oral health care with a gentle, friendly touch. When she is not in the office, Kristi and her husband Josh stay very busy with their daughter Jordynn. She likes spending time with family and friends and playing horsehoes.
