Bioesthetic Dentistry
PRINCIPLES OF BIOESTHETICS
Bioesthetic Principles: What we find in nature.
- The jaw joint must be stable in its socket when all of the teeth touch.
- The front teeth must guide the bite and protect the back teeth.
- The back teeth must have proper sharp form.

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF BITE PROBLEMS
Signs that indicate you may be suffering from bite related problems:
- Head and neck pain that you have been told you will need to learn to live
with.
- You have migraines or headaches that the cause has not been determined.
- Your jaw joint clicks, pops or locks open or closed.
- You have worn, chipped or broken teeth.
- You’ve been told you have “TMJ” and must wear a night guard forever.
PROCESS
The bioesthetic process:
If it has been suggested that you are a candidate for bioesthetic dentistry you will go through these steps.
- A consultation visit to discuss your concerns and any problems you are experiencing.
- Complete examination of the head and neck.
- A bite study to evaluate your needs. You will see your own teeth mounted on a jaw simulator.
- Jaw stabilization using a MAGO splint. This is where you will start to see changes in your face and your pain will start to disappear as your jaw settles back into its socket.
- Once the jaw is stable in the socket we will make a complete and proper diagnosis.
- You will then be informed of the treatment necessary to restore you to proper form and function.
